About this blog
This is the English edition of the technical blog run by Swallow Incubate Co., Ltd. It covers face recognition security — in particular, how face recognition systems are attacked with photos, screens and videos, and how to defend them with liveness detection (presentation attack detection).
The articles draw on our day-to-day work developing and evaluating liveness detection technology, and include code you can run yourself.
About Swallow Incubate
Swallow Incubate is a technology company based in Tsukuba, Japan, founded in 2013. We research and develop image-processing AI in the field of human sensing, including liveness detection, blink detection, gaze detection and iris recognition.
Our Liveness Detection API tells face recognition and eKYC flows whether a live person is in front of the camera, from a single still image.
